So I got a facial the other day, a full 60 minutes, the works, you can say. My skin was doing really well, just a random blemish every now and then, but smooth skin. I did it because there was a promotion on at xmas time, so I thought, why not. I got a scrub, extraction, mask, and massage, along with the other routine cleansing rituals. It felt great, although I really didn't enjoy the blackhead extraction, cuz that hurt like a b*^#*. But I survived. This was about 3 days ago.

Yesterday I noticed some red bumps on the side of my face. The left cheek has never had a zit in all its existence. My right cheek has had about 7 zits in all. But generally, I break out on my chin and on my forehead. So, you can imagine the confusion I felt when I had bumps all over my cheek.

They're still there, and I've got some more bumps on my forehead and other cheek. But surprisingly I'm not freaking out. Probably because I know it's a reaction, and not a breakout. And so it'll come and go, probably within the next 2 or 3 days. I really hope it doesn't leave any scars though, or else I may need to get some scar cream or whitening cream while I'm here.

My advice: If you don't get facials regularly, or if you don't know how sensitive your skin is, then err on the side of caution and dont get one. Trust me, I probably won't get one any time soon.
